Most people in SEO and digital marketing have only ever worked in SEO and marketing. I've actually run real businesses, won awards for it, advised other businesses and continue to do it and love it. I've got degrees (in IT and Finance and a bundle of other certificates) but so what - qualifications are not education and my real education was earned through countless hard lessons learned "doing". I've worked across accounting, civil construction, home services, and technology. This cross-industry experience means I understand different business models and can spot opportunities others miss.
